Critique No definition has been proposed. Cooper (1985) used Ankylosauroidea Brown 1908 in place of Ankylosauria Osborn 1923, attributing the former taxon in error to Huene (1914). As a family group taxon, the correct author of Ankylosauroidea is Brown (1908).
